Lavender

Lavender

Ciao bella,

Used for centuries to keep skin feeling hydrated and the body calm. Just a whiff of this magnifi cent scent will keep your senses focused and relaxed.

Lavender oil can also help with troubled skin such as acne. It penetrates your pores to help in regulating your skin’s oil production. It has a skin soothing nature that can also tame an itchy scalp. Also used for anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain.

Used as a holy herb in ancient times. High priests used it for purification rituals and healing.

Lavender was used in anointing the feet of Jesus by Mary Magdalene.

Imagine a bath filled with Lavender … known for it’s calming qualities, a shower gel or bath salts will put you in dreamland instantly. Lavender is part of the mint family that’s a shrub. The flowering tops of the shrub are used in a distillation process that will produce Lavender oil. Used in many brands of essential oils, Lavender contains many benefi ts for calming nerves and sleep related problems.

So calm yourself down and carry on with some Lavender!

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!

Beauty Horror 2022

Beauty Horror 2022

Ciao bella,

“Be Careful or You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out!”
Taking a different turn on beauty for the sake of humor, here are some beauty scenarios that may bring back a memory or two.

One gal decided to dye her hair and multitask by washing the dishes. Oops … the pizza cutter sliced through her thumb! Should have gone for stitches instead used a tourniquet from dish towel. Her hair came out great, however, there’s a scar to remind her to slow down!

The over archer decided to pluck her eyebrows. Plucking was too painful so she decided to use her razor. Yikes … shaving off half a brow it took a few months to grow back in. Not without shifting bangs!

Using black eyeliner at 14 years old was the ultimate. After a few hours of people staring and thinking I must look so cool, I took a look in the mirror and all the oil and sweat had spread the pigment so much that I looked like a baby Panda!

After a busy and exhausting trip, I emptied my cosmetic bag out on the counter.

I would have SWORN ON MY LIFE I grabbed my eye make up remover. It was nail polish remover! I flushed my eyeball for 5 minutes under running water until the pain subsided!

So, the moral of these stories is consider a professional to educate and demonstrate before attempting home skills. Or at least a bottle of nail polish remover with big letters!

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!

New for 2022! Marin!

New for 2022! Marin!

Ciao bella,

So there we were flipping channels on the tube and we noticed Chronicle was about to come on. They were featuring a segment on “Lobster.” Certainly peeked my interest.

In 2013, it all started with a move to Portland, Maine and biomedical undergraduate students Amber Boutiette and Patrick Breeding.

They launched a specialty skin care product for extra dry skin including psoriasis and eczema from Lobster! Apparently, Amber suffered from debilitating eczema on her face and eyelids and cheeks. Then in 2017, they worked on a prototype of a product soon to be called Marin’s Soothing Hydration Cream.

This cream is amazing. My dry, aging skin feels like new … and after just a couple of days!

Made with Lobster glycoprotein, which is a part of the Lobster’s circulatory fluid … a wasted byproduct of processing. Who would have thought?

It’s been a tedious and time-consuming process to develop such an innovative product.

However, thanks to Amber and Patrick’s diligence we can now enjoy soft, supple skin all over our bodes!

This Marin Cream is skin-hydrating, barrier-protection that’s Free from fragrance, parabens, and irritants. Made with Love.

So spread on some love with Marin! Find Marin on their website or Amazon.

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!
