Dry Brushing

Dry Brushing

Ciao bella,

Brushing your hair and brushing your teeth are a necessary part of health and beauty care every day.

However, what about the benefits of Dry Brushing your skin every day?

The Ancient Chinese were popular in bringing this habit to an actual daily routine. Dry Brushing can be seen as an offered service at spas as of late. There are many potential benefits from Dry Brushing your skin. It helps in smoothing your skin and helps with lymphatic drainage, stimulating the normal lymph fl ow in the body and helping the body to detoxify naturally. The skin is brushed in the direction of the heart. The feet and hands are Dry Brushed first aiming toward the heart.

Exfoliating your skin is a noticeable benefit for soft, smooth skin by Dry Brushing. Cleans pores on your face diminish large pores. An all-natural complexion brush should be used for this. Regular Dry Brushing has helped cellulite with some people.

Dry Brushing helps to stimulate and circulate the blood, promoting a feeling of well-being and increasing energy. Something we all can use.

When choosing a brush, make sure the bristles are natural and not synthetic. Make sure your body brush has a long handle to reach everywhere, including your back.

Use a soft all-natural bristle for your complexion.

As you form a habit of Dry Brushing your body every day, you will want to use a stiffer brush.

After Dry Brushing, you can shower to wash away built up skin cells.

So, start off your Dry Brushing routine using a softer all natural brush with moderate pressure. Then graduate to a firmer brush with firmer pressure. Your skin and body will thank you!

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!

Pushing through the February Blahs ...

Pushing through the February Blahs ...

Ciao bella,

I'm just so tired of wearing a winter coat, socks, gloves, boots, etc! The heat and the elements drying out my skin, and the itchiness is quite annoying as well.

So I've decided it's a Spa at Home Day. I just purchased some wonderful extra moisturizing body wash and a pistachio scented body cream, also extra moisturizing. The pistachio scent is amazing! Lift your spirits with a great smelling product and lots of emollients.

Treat yourself to these 2 Spa at Home treatments:

Heavenly Facial Mask

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey

Apply at room temperature to face and neck, rinse after 15 minutes with warm water. Your skin should feel as soft as a baby's bottom!

Soothing Hands Mask
Warm in microwave for 10 seconds

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

Soak your hands for 5 minutes. Rinse, and then apply an emollient rich hand cream. The honey and the coconut oil are anti-infl ammatories helping the skin's outer layer to heal and protect itself.

Get pampered! Start using those gift cards you received for Christmas and get a Winter soothing Pedicure. Many salons are doing specials this time of year. Look into it.

It will be Valentine's Day soon and the world will be full of hearts and love ... get into it and enjoy the colorful experience of red! Polish your nails red to brighten up your mood.

So my Glamazons ... keep on Glamping!

Buona Giornata and God Bless the USA!
