Looking to get Beautiful Skin? It’s not in Your Cosmetics Purse!

Ciao Bella,

A Healthy and Beautiful Bounty from Pasquale!
Right here in our Boston’s North End is a Saturday-only Farm Stand with all the delicious and fresh, Fruits and Veggies for Beautiful Skin! Every Saturday you’ll find Pasquale outside of his Farm Stand at the corner of Salem and Cooper.

You can find some wonderful Farm Grown vegetables and fruits from Pasquale’s Family Farm. For generations, Pasquale’s family has supplied North Enders with the freshest bounty!

Eggplant has many nutritional benefits inside your body and out. It is rich in water, keeping your skin moist and hydrated. When included in your diet, Eggplant significantly helps you maintain shiny, glowing, smooth skin

Garlic is a natural remedy for blemishes and acne. It has antioxidants that kill bacteria. Rub a sliced clove on your pimple as an effective topical treatment.

Vitamin C is great for the immune system and radiant skin. Look for blueberries, broccoli, oranges, strawberries and sweet potatoes.

Also rich in antioxidants are Tomatoes. They contain Lycopene, which acts as a sunscreen from within and also has anti-aging properties. Gives skin a boost for a fresh glow.

Lemons are also loaded with Vitamin C, which is needed for the synthesis of collegen.

Carrots are high in beta carotene, converted by the body to Vitamin A. Fights wrinkles and improves skin. Spinach, kale, dandelion greens, and asparagus are also rich in Vitamin K, iron and Vitamin A, aiding in circulation, carrying vital oxygen. Vitamin K prevents varicose veins.

Corn promotes radiant skin with its host of vital minerals and vitamins; sweet corn is a must in your diet. Also boosts cell production. Beneficial in slowing the aging process. Apple peel contains quercetin, which is an antioxidant, providing protection against sun damage.

Citrus also fights inflammation, and is also a good source of Vitamin C.

Strawberries may lower risk of skin cancer.

Peppers contain more Vitamin C than an orange. Full of antioxidants, the spicier ones are loaded with capsaicin, which improves circulation and promotes the release of toxins from the skin.

Grapes, known as “queen of fruits,” are full of photochemicals that have been found to have anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-microbial and anti-cancer activity. Healthy is Beautiful!

Apricots have a wide range of benefits. Containing a healthy dose of Vitamin C, its antioxidants protect the skin from the effects of free radicals, which can cause premature aging and skin deterioration.

Also, my family cooked Escarole and Dandelion. Gotta love those greens. My Mom would always say “drink the juice!” She had the most beautiful skin of us all.

So now my Beauties, go out and visit Pasquale next Saturday and feed your face!
